A New Trend – Decorating with Eucalyptus

More and more people enjoy decorating their homes with plants, but often we don’t have enough time to take care of them or simply don’t have enough space where our plants can get an adequate amount of sunlight. If you don’t have time to care for plants or find that all your plants and potted flowers have a short lifespan, then choose dried flowers as decorations. In the past, dried flowers brought to mind vividly colored, unpleasantly textured dried bouquets, but nowadays these have been replaced by much more natural-looking, stunning dried plants. Eucalyptus can be a decorative element for your home, whether in its dried form or as a potted plant.

Why choose eucalyptus?

As a potted plant, eucalyptus is relatively low-maintenance; it doesn’t require daily watering or continuous fertilization. We can use it to decorate our homes when potted, or we can plant it in a pot and place it on the terrace or in the garden. It can withstand temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius, and even fully grown specimens can easily survive in the winter garden. Eucalyptus is an evergreen plant, so we can enjoy its beauty in every season. There are several known varieties of eucalyptus, with perhaps the most popular being the so-called Alpine eucalyptus, which emits a distinctive, very pleasant scent and whose leaves change between shades of blue and dark green depending on the season.

We can dry the pruned branches of eucalyptus and use the dried branches to decorate our homes. If you don’t want to take care of eucalyptus, you can purchase dried eucalyptus from decoration stores or even artificial eucalyptus branches that look just like the real thing. The dried branches are stunning on their own, but when tied together in a bouquet with flowers, they can create a visually impressive result.

We highly recommend eucalyptus-based decorations, such as bouquets or wreaths, for those seeking home accessories made from natural materials and who appreciate a nature-inspired interior.

Arranged neatly in a small vase or strung together as a garland, dried eucalyptus can truly uplift any space. Whether it’s a side table in the living room, a dresser, or even a coffee table, this incredibly simple yet fantastic plant with its pleasant scent and green hues will draw attention wherever it’s placed.

As an extra bonus, you can even place it in the bathroom in its dried form:

If you love plants, be sure to add eucalyptus to your shopping list.:)
